DAR1018
Dominion Atlantic Railway Steam Locomotive No. 1018, Demonts.
Built by the Montreal Locomotive Works (MLW) in September of 1912. Assigned to the DAR from the CPR in 1937 or 1938. In early April 1938, it completed an overhaul in the Kentville Machine Shop and received a DAR paint scheme, emerging "dressed in the popular red and black combination, the colour scheme which proved very popular with visiting Americans in the last few years."[1]
It is listed as a D.A.R. unit from M.P. 14 1941 to 1952 and then continues to appear in 1955 but back as a C.P.R. unit.[2] It left the DAR in 1955 or 1956[3] and was scrapped in October 1957.[4]
