ATLANTIC LINER ASHORE
Pr. George, of Dominion Line, on Nova Scotia Shoal.
Yarmouth, N.S., Aug. 13. -- At high water to-day an ineffectual attempt was made to float the Dominion Atlantic steamer Prince George, which went ashore here last night. Her passengers were transferred to the Prince Arthur, to go to Boston to-night.
Orders have been given to prepare the steamer Boston and if the Prince George will not float on the next high tide she will take up the Boston route to-morrow, The Prince George went ashore during the highest tide for a long time at Yarmouth, and navigators assert that the steamer will not float until the next course of high tides.
