DAR0500
Dominion Atlantic Railway Steam Locomotive No. 500, Membertou.
According to Gary Ness on page 7 of "Canadian Pacific's Dominion Atlantic Railway (Volume 1)" and page 9 in Volume 2, this is a 4-6-0 D6a built in 1902 by Schenectady Locomotive Works, Schenectady, New York. It was the first of 60 D6a class locomotives for the C.P.R. Most likely transferred to the D.A.R. from the C.P.R. in 1917 it was not officially sold to the D.A.R. until 1937. It was scrapped in 1940.
