Dominion Atlantic Railway Steam Locomotive No. 385 "Grand Pre"
Wheel Arrangement: 4-6-0
Built by Baldwin Locomotive Works in September 1897.
- Builder No. 15477
- 19" x 24" cylinders
- 63" drivers.
- CPR Class: D4f
It was built as a Canadian Pacific Locomotive No. 385 and transferred to the DAR in 1923. It was assigned DAR No. 16 but the number was not applied.[1] It was scrapped in July 1933.[2]
Name Origin: Grand Pré, important Acadian settlement and home of Longfellow's fictional Evangeline character, later a DAR station and memorial park.
