Dominion Atlantic Railway Steam Locomotive No. 22 "Cerese"
Wheel Arrangement: 4-4-0
Built by Portland Works in August 1879.
- Builder No. 355
- 16" x 24" cylinders
- 60" drivers.
Built as Western Counties Railway locomotive No. 7 "W.R. Moody", it briefly became Windsor and Annapolis Railway No. 19 (1) before becoming DAR No. 22 "Cerese" in 1894.
It was destroyed by a fire on July 8, 1915 when the Kentville Roundhouse burned destroying No. 12 and No. 22.[1]
Name Origin: Unknown, possibly Ceres, the Roman goddess of agriculture.
