Dominion Atlantic Railway First Class Coach (with smoking room) No. 1551

A 72'-0" wood passenger car with 6 wheel trucks built in 1912 [1] , one of a series of 14 cars built numbered 1539 to 1553 on EO1198, with a seating capacity of 68 in the main room and 8 in the smoking room.[2]

Operational Appearances

From the daily notes of George Parks it is noted that No. 1551 was west bound along with other passenger and mail cars off the D.A.R. at Truro on August 17, 1956 due to the new Evangeline Dayliner service.[3]
