Dominion Atlantic Railway 1st Class Coach No. 23 (1st)

Little is known about the first DAR car to carry this number aside from its class and appearance on a DAR roster.(1)

Dominion Atlantic Railway 1st Class Coach No. 23 (2nd) "Sissiboo" 1912-1944

The second No. 23 was built by Canadian Pacific's Angus Shops in 1911 as a wooden suburban car No. 262.(1) It was transferred to the DAR in March 1912 where it was named "Sissiboo" after the river at Weymouth and re-numbered 23, sister to No. 24 "Micmac". No. 23 was destroyed in a wreck near Yarmouth in August 1944.(2)
