Dominion Atlantic Railway Steam Locomotive No. 385 "Grand Pre"

Wheel Arrangement: 4-6-0

Built by Baldwin Locomotive Works in September 1897.

  • Builder No. 15477
  • 19" x 24" cylinders
  • 63" drivers.
  • CPR Class: D4f

It was built as a Canadian Pacific Locomotive No. 385 and transferred to the DAR in 1923. It was assigned DAR No. 16 but the number was not applied.(1) It was scrapped in July 1933.(2)

Name Origin: Grand Pre, important Acadian settlement and home of Longfellow's fictional Evangeline character, later a DAR station and memorial park.
