Kentville Ice House

The DAR operated a "secondary icing" facility to re-ice certain classes of refrigerated cars in season.(1) Approximately 25 feet by 40 feet, it differed from standard CPR ice houses as it was built of brick tile instead of wood.(2) Built sometime in the 1930s(3), it was in use at least until 1958.(4) In the 1960s, it was converted into storage.
