Visible is the [[Kingsport Wharf]] before the final 1911 extension. Visible behind the land-ward end of the wharf in the centre of the photograph is the Kingsport shipyard with one large schooner in for repair and the hull of a large vessel under construction. A shadow at the end of the wharf suggests a railcar at the  wharf's end.
