Built by Baldwin in March 1901, builder number 18815, this engine was numbered No. 25 and was originally named "Strathcona" receiving the name "Pontgravé" for a short time only. This locomotive was scrapped in 1940. (1)

Built new for the DAR, No. 25 was named "Strathcona" for most of its career, but renamed "Pontgrave" in the 1920s. It was a near twin to [[DAR0026|No. 26]].  Prior to 1920, No. 25 was driven by engineer Will Taylor and hauled Trains [[Train No. 93|93]] and [[Train No. 94|94]] east of [[Kentville]] to [[Halifax]] until replaced by the slightly newer [[DAR0027|No. 27]].<ref>[[J. Prior to 1920, No. 25 was driven by engineer Will Taylor and hauled Trains 93 and 94 east of Kentville to Halifax until replaced by the slightly newer No. 27.[1]

It was scrapped in Kentville in March 1940.[2]

The name Pontgravé was also used on locomotive No. 534.
