Bay of Fundy Steamship Company's SS Monticello on the St. John - Digby service in direct competition with the DAR's SS Prince Rupert circa 1895.

1895: DAR purchased, and placed, the new SS Prince Rupert on St. John - Digby service in direct competition with Bay of Fundy Steamship Company's SS Monticello; with superior vessel and service, DAR forces SS Monticello off the run. W&AR and WCR/Y&AR trains interchanged with SS Monticello.No family connection to B of F SS Co. as DAR did not purchase their assets or vessels for the Bay of Fundy service.
