Unsung volunteers at museums in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Quebec, Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia have saved a representative sample of a DAR rolling stock including a locomotive, passenger cars, a snowplow, steam crane, a passenger car, a van (caboose) and a ship. Sadly the DAR's hometown of Kentville has preserved nothing, turning down every opportunity to preserve locomotives, passenger cars and snowplows and demolishing DAR landmarks such as the [[Kentville Station]] and [[Kentville Roundhouse|roundhouse]].

Some DAR steam-era equipment have been preserved in various museums right across Canada. Unsung volunteers at museums in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Quebec, Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia have saved a representative sample of a DAR rolling stock including a locomotive, passenger cars, a snowplow, steam crane, a passenger car, a van (caboose) and a ship.
