Railroad tie

Post by RedLink27 »

I recently recovered a crosstie and some baseplates from around Clare, to try and put them back together.
I noticed numbers on it.. Is it a date stamp?

Yes, the date stamp indicates the year it was produced. Older ties have a date nail, also with a two digit number.
