Does anyone recognize the location that this photo was taken? It was posted to the NS Memories Facebook group but no one knows the location. My guess it just north of the bridge crossing the Moose River but that's only a guess. The only information that was with the photo was that it's in the Valley.
I just had a look up to Paridise, that's where the road gets that close to the railway, but there is hardly any vertical difference. The black and white shot has a significant drop on the right and I don't see that in Google Earth.
When I was doing the MSTS route the only place I saw this sort of landscape was up between Three Mile Plain and Mount Uniacke... or at least that I remember!
On google maps street view you can't see the drop or the railway any more due to the trees, and there was one shot along highway 10 where you can see a similar type view of the north mountain.
Also on the facebook page that it was posted in, other people have confirmed that to be the area just south of Nictaux
Paul Bishop - "perfect!! My grandfather Harry Mailman (Albany) took care of the the "road" between Squirreltown and Middleton and I have travelled this route a lot. I can testify that this is just before the crossing at the Nictaux Falls crossing, headed to Middleton) on the #10 highway and the Nictaux Falls station."
