I made a Video I'll post ones its ready and uploaded Feel Free to use these for your modeling and DAR railroad needs enjoy them wile you can this may be the last proof the line ever existed.
2 things I found out there was a siding in baverbank just before the crossing:
See Video for more
and A the the next siding a few miles up there was a building
300 or so meters up on the right I found some ruins of some kind of old warehouse
I see your just as crazy as I am, I cycled that up to just past the NS Power substation about 1.5 months ago. Rough going on with a hybrid bike! Though lots of great views. Yeah I've wondered what that old ruins were too as there was once a siding there. Did you also find where the siding when into NS Power Substation?
I want to hike the line from Mount Uniacke heading towards Windsor some day this summer. Maybe we could get a few others rail fans to come out for the hike.

Yea I did find the sub plant siding its barred in weeds and thick bushes if you go up to the sideing and look in the bushs on the other side of the road you can just see it the rails are stell there it looked like it was just dug up quikely and forgotten. The old building was one thing that really got my interest I think its a old warehouse used to store dry goods there's are what looks like pulley housts on the roof in the 2nd building mostly a lifting goods onto a something. We can do some research on that building and I'll model it to what is use to be we it was used. Soo hard to tell but it did have a loading dock for box cars.
I'm going to make the Part 2 form Mount Uniacke to Windsor this summer in Aug I'll have free time sure love to get a group of DAR Fans to gather on a insane DAR trip and complete the line before its too late The first 13 miles have been recorded and I took over 200 pics. I love doing this crazy stuff its alot of fun.
Did some digging and found out it was Fenerty's Fish Plant There no more info about it that I can find.
I wish I could I looked it up my self and found nothing about Fenerty's Fish Plant no pic of the building or year it was built nothing just a few pic of others who been to the spot in its current stat Its like looking for a needle it a hay stack. Jugeing form that I can tell it was 2 buildings probably to floors built out of wood and brick mid 1960s or earlier it was 2 supreat bultings one was the plant one next to the sideing most likely a loading warehouse/store house. There was a pipe mount made out of rails 5 feet form the main so the sideing had to be end at the loading and did not reconict up to the main at all it looked like it had a buffer but I didn't find any proof of one both building had to have been a small plant.
I'm planning a nother DAR hike in Aug mostlikey after the 19th if anyones interested in going along with me on this day trip let me know soon I'm planning on leaving mount unick around 10am to Windsor 3 or day hike I wont to finish it before its too later and there nothing lift to see. Wen I know forsure I'll post the dates and times of the hike there one rule No removing anything form the line we take pics and move on. This is a grate way for DAR fans to see the line wile its stell layed.
Thanks for sharing those neat images.
Love to join you for the bike tour but August is busy for me. Let me know if you want to try in a weekend in September. Be great to see the line before it is totally grown over or gone.
