New Photos for the web site + update information
Well I've got some good news! If no one seen it, there was a bunch of pictures for sale up on ebay, which I got a good number of which includes a photo of the Mosherville Station, The rail siding in Scotch Village, Clifton and a few other pictures of Midland section. Plus in one lot there were some inside pictures of either the round house or one of the maintanence buildings in Kentville.
The seller had a bunch of other photos from Nova Scotia, including that of the Sydney & Louisburg railway. I didn't get any of those had to make a fincial call on which photos to get as he had lots of them. I had informed the seller that I was interested in more but due to me using my aloted monthly amount for my DAR collection.
I found today the death certificate for W.W Clarke who wrote Clarke's History of the Earliest Railways in Nova Scotia, sadly he past away four years after getting his book published. And it would appear that he didn't have any childern and because it was a private publication the fifty year waiting period has long since past for Canadian Copy Right so at some point soon I hope to scan the entire book into a PDF document for anyone who wishes to have a digital copy.
Hope all had a great Easter, I know I did afterwards getting those Cadbury Cream Eggs on sale (bought 40 of them and paid about 9$ for them)

I love Cadbury eggs...
Congratulations on the photos. If I'm right, you now have some J.A.MacIntosh photos in your collection sold to you by his son, Bob MacInstosh. If you hadn't noticed before, we have an extensive collection of his photos donated by many of us who bought them a few years back and thanks to Bob MacIntosh, permission to show his sales scans (with the SAMPLE on it) even though we may never know who bought them.
See John's other photos on the wiki here:

Congrats on the photos. I look forward to seeing the roundhouse/shop interiors and helping to identify them.
Digitizing Clarke's book would be an asset as there are so few copies around.
Cheers, and hope you worked off all those Cadbury eggs,
Dan

Re: New Photos for the web site + update information
I got my pictures in the mail the other day, and today I started to scan them and uploaded to the site. I'll try and get the rest of the photos uploaded over the weekend.
side note I might have actually come into procession of some Halifax & South Western 35mm slides though I need a photo scanner to verify.

Handwriting on the back would be interesting to see. We have a bunch of B&W photos we know that J.A. MacIntosh took because of his distinctive handwriting.
For instance:

Isn’t this another photo just like this:

This:

and this:

or this:

and these two:

See my point?
Cool huh?

Great images Samuel. I love those roundhouse interior views.
Several really do look like MacIntosh shots. The station view appears identical to his colour version, right down to the location of the boxcar at the freight shed.

So you don't have to upoad scans of the writing on the back but it would be very much appreciated if you send them to me (low res is just fine) so I can look at the handwriting and see if it is J.A. MacIntosh's handwriting.
And it is very much appreciated that you take the time to link your photos to the appropriate page and set up your categories!

Re: New Photos for the web site + update information
Not sure if anyone seen it on ebay but there was a 1905 DAR time table up for sale which I was able to get, so I've updated the Wiki to reflect the links so once I get this in the mail, I'll scan it and upload the images, Plus I need to scan a few other times tables which I have which wasn't on the wiki. Plus I found a buy it now photo of DAR0544 Hebert for a good price so I bought that last night and will be uploading the photo once I get that too.

No problem, I love to share photos/information that I get, as I believe all the old photos should be shared for everyone to enjoy and not just sold and not shared.

Hey Matthew. Thanks for posting the photo of those great early apple cars. Love the resolution. This image was published in the "Dominion Atlantic Railway Times" a supplement to the CAR Report, a short lived newsletter of the Canada Atlantic Railway in 1994. However the newsletter didn't given any info. I wonder where the location was. Interesting the barrels are stacked on their sides. I always assumed they were stacked on their heads.
