Thought I'd share this with you, This morning while searching Ebay for Nova Scotia Railway related items I came across a photo of a steam engine in England that was named "Nova Scotia" found it a bit odd, did some more digging and found this to be true, back in the 30's when they were built (engines were scrapped in the 60's) LMS did have engines named after Canadian Provinces.
"191 ex-LMS 4-6-0 engines, all named. The names came from British Colonies and Dependencies, British naval commanders and warships, and finally Eire and four Irish provinces. 45553 to 45638 are listed here."

For me now I have to try and find an HO/OO scale model of the 4-6-0 Jubilee Class.
This link for Google Search will bring up additional information and some pictures of "Nova Scotia"

That's cool.
I understand the Indian Railway had a series of diesels named after Canadian provinces.

Not suprising, although I never heard of these before. The colonies such as South & West Africa, Australia and especially Canada were the pride of the British Empire. In front of Buckham palace on the Victorial Memorial circle are the Canada Gate and South & West Africa Gate. Of note is that the Canada Gate also have the Provincial Heralds on the gates of all the provinces at the time it was built which was 7 provinces in 1901. It appears that the provincial heralds in stone of Alberta, Saskatchewan and Newfoundland were added on later to the stone columns on either side of the structure.

It is interesting that this series you mention has all 10 provinces listed meaning this series, or at least the naming of them, must have been post 1949 to include Newfoundland.

So I now of an OO scale model of this style of Steam engine, the only real thing that needs to be done is the number change from 45552 to 45556 and name changed to Nova Scotia.

Sounds like a modelling project coming up. Nice find. Did you get it from this side of the pond?
