Truro Sub - Scotch Village Station

Post by SamuelMClark »

Good Day,

I'm please to say I've been able to find some information about the Scotch Village station from along the Truro Sub. I should also hopefully have some personal stories of locals also travelling along the train into Windsor for school, and just taking the train into town. I'll post more once I get more and hopefully be able to post some of their stories here on the forum for others to read. Also I have been put into contact with someone who apparently has an old photo of the station which I'm trying to get a copy of for the wiki.

Stay Tuned for hopefully more good news.

Samuel

Look forward to any elightenment on the station. Personal stories and accounts especially welcome!

If by chance you can ask, please ask about Stanley Airport and the station there too. That's another lost page I'd love to see some more detail on.

Good News, There is now a photo of the old Scotch Village station up on the wiki, date and person is unknown. And after going though every station on CPTracks.ca I would say a close replica for general size and layout to use in modelling is of station 11 http://www.cptracks.ca/data/Structures/H-15-33.pdf .

Though in the picture of the station there isn't any platform, and the track showing not sure if that's a siding or the main line. Though a rough estimate I would say the photo appears to be taken from the Eastern side of the station based on how what I'm assuming are shadows.

Where would I put personal stories? And as for Stanley I'll be driving though there today, so I'll see what the name of the local church is that's how I found information for Scotch Village.
