Just spent like 5 hours wandering through the digital archives. Only scratched the surface. It sure continues to grow at an amazing rate. Thought i'd share these links. If it had a DAR rail, it's in here:

Re: NSARM Links
Oops. You beat me to it, Steve! I searched for "McCully" but it didn't come up so I thought I was safe. LOL
I was inspecting one of the Grand Pre photos and was delighted to see not only a small livestock loading pen, but also an outhouse, not to mention the water tower.

Re: NSARM Links
It started innocently enough when I went to follow a link to a Kentville Railyard photo at the museum and discovered it was broken (why do they do that??).
The next thing you know I'm 5 hours down the road with a ton of stuff I hadn't seen before.

Re: NSARM Links
I found out about these through a Twitter feed from the archives. First useful thing I've had. I don't use Twitter at all and am trying to warm up to it.

Re: NSARM Links
There are some very interesting photos here. The first one is most certainly not DAR. The station looks very similar to Orangedale and Grand Narrows in Cape Breton.
I liked the shot of Acadia University, showing how small the campus used to be and the university farm on the hill.
The photo at Wentworth shows the mine railway with its small hoppers.
Cool stuff!

Re: NSARM Links
The caption on the first one only indicates the Annapolis Valley.
Where in fact and on what railway it is actually is a mystery.

Re: NSARM Links
I spent some time with Google satellite view and one of the Kentville pics to figure out where the heck it was. lol It was actually quite a lot of fun!
My father indicates that the date is not August 1931, but more likely May 1931, as the apple trees are in blossom.
Also, one of the Wolfville views of Acadia U. is reversed.
Otherwise, I could spend days looking at the pics.
