study to get a commuter service from New Minas to Halifax

Hi There,

I really think a commuter service from New Minas( or Greenwich) to Halifax would have value.With an NDP government that talks of the importance of greener transportation , maybe they might consider "walking the walk"(or taking the train!).

Any ideas on how we could get them to pay for a feasability study? We have the tracks,for now.

I fear if we don't act we may lose the section along the Windsor causeway for the twinning of the 101.

Aside from finding an enlightened politician to champion the idea, you might try the Ecology Action Centre in Halifax. They have been networking with Transport 2000 to promote and study public transport in Nova Scotia.
