Windsor and Annapolis Railway, Report of Alexander MacNab, C. E., November 1, 1873

A complete report of the W&AR performed by Alexander MacNab for the Nova Scotia government "...with a view to ascertain the start thereof in relation to the safety of passengers, and the people located along the line; also to ascertain the amount of Rolling Stock and its capability of performing the work required by the traffic of the said Railroad...". It provides a detailed look at the trackage, facilities of the line that later became the DAR in its earliest years.

A similar report was commissioned by the legislature to document the newly-built Halifax to Windsor line in 1857: James Laurie, Report on the Nova-Scotia Railway: its present condition and probable cost, by James Laurie, Civil Engineer, February 5th, 1858 (1858).
