Sheldon Elijah Green
Life Story
Born in Pereaux, Kings County on September 24, 1930, Sheldon passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 in East Cumberland Lodge, Pugwash. Sheldon lived most of his life in Kentville and was a lifelong “Railway Man”. He had been employed by the Dominion Atlantic Railway (the DAR) and was the conductor on the last run of the Yarmouth to Kentville Dayliner in January 1990. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of Kentville United Baptist Church. Sheldon was predeceased by his parents, Byard and Evelyn Greene; brothers, Carrol, Clayton and Vernon. Sheldon is survived by his wife of 65 years, Hazel (Wilcox); daughters, Sandra (Byron) Corkum and Paula (Jim) Laskey; grandchildren, Peter (Jodi-Jane) Davidson, Matthew (Janet) Davidson, Thomas Laskey and Emma Laskey; great-grandson, Owen (son of Peter and Jodi-Jane).[1]
