Waterville apple warehouses, 1916. Apple warehouse in the foreground was the first in Waterville, built by W.H. Chase in 1899. The warehouse in the middle was completed a month later by Northard and Lowe from England and managed by Lem Whitman, later owned by S. M. Chute. The warehouse in the distance was built by Ambrose Stanley "Stan" Banks in 1906. [1] The photograph was published in the Annual report of the Secretary for Agriculture, Nova Scotia, Nova Scotia Office of Agriculture, 1915-1917 published 1917.
