West Hants Historical Society Museum

Accession number: 141 Category: Graphic Documents Date: 1865 – 1970 Materials: Paper Description:

Photograph of locomotive and train No. 21, at Windsor RR Station, Windsor.

This station and the later brick RR station were demolished at the time the Avon River Causeway was built, 1968-1970. Apparently there had been an earlier RR station built around the time the railway came to Windsor (1857-58). Part of it covered the tracks. The station site pictured here has been filled over and is part of the access ramp to route No. 101.
