One of the earliest views of the Kentville Station and railyards when they were still part of the Windsor and Annapolis Railway. The view shows the station before the east end baggage room was added as well as the original Windsor & Annapolis Railway car shop. In the distance to the left of the car shop is the roof of the first engine house and machine shop. The Kentville Car Shop and Kentville Paint Shop can be seen at the right. A date of July 27, 1871 is given in the CPR publication DAR Times No. 1 Summer 1994.
