The Windsor & Annapolis Railway's broad-gauge locomotive "Gabriel" near Kentville, newly arrived from the Fox Walker builders circa 1869. Photo featured in Marguerite Woodworth's History of the Dominion Atlantic Railway, inside cover as well as in W.W. Clarke, Clarke's History of the Earliest Railways in Nova Scotia, (circa 1925), facing page 9.

Clarke, the men featured are: Upper Row: Thomas Walsh, Harry Appleton, James Appleton, Hants Mosher, Alec Wilson, Sandy Nickel, John Holley, Herb Parish, Dan Copeland, James Driscoll, William Blundell, James Griffin, Charles Dorman. Lower Row: John Hughes, Ephraim Hiltz, Michel Driscoll, boy, Charles Benang, Edward Williams (boss painter), John Perry (boss blacksmith), boy, James Leitch (master mechanic), boy, Charles Parrish, William Malcolm, Peter McQuarrie, Marshall Schofield, William Crandell, Joesph Gallant, John Rodger, H. Manning, David Harris, Tom calder, Andrew Leitch, Joseph Goal and John Robinson.
