Early_Kentville_station.jpg (640 × 378 pixels, file size: 134 KB, MIME type: image/jpeg)
The earliest recorded photograph of the Kentville Station, taken as the first train from Annapolis Royal arrived in August 1869. Judging by the small crowd, it was likely an unofficial work train as the first official train on August 18, 1869 was greeted by a large reception party followed by a big banquet in the Machine Shop. Also visible is the first Kentville Freight Shed, in the foreground, and the first Kentville Car Shop, to the left. The photograph comes from Clarke's History of the Earliest Railways in Nova Scotia.
