CPR loco No. 470 at Kentville yards, making up consist for Train No. 13 to Kingsport, NS. An original Kodachrome slide taken by John McIntosh July 3, 1954, a couple years before this train was cut. It is seen here in Kentville yard.
Jon Archibald recalls that his grandmother said she took the train from Kingsport to Kentville to attend high school at KCA (Kings County Academy) in the first decade of the last century. She later taught skool, I mean school, in Kingsport till marrying PL Morse in 1916 and moving to Berwick."
