From DARwiki

Original file(655 × 799 pixels, file size: 348 KB, MIME type: image/jpeg)

First Class passenger car interior according to the Bowlby description but this same photo is also on-line at the Kings County museum described as "The sumptuous interior of a dining car." and was also published in Cinders & Saltwater and was described as "Parlour Car c. 1900" on page 161.

Dan Conlin informs us that "This is the Intercolonial Railway parlour car "Acadia", built in 1886, later CN 8135, scrapped in London, Ontario in 1936. (See the book Canadian National Railways Passenger Equipment by Gay Lepkey and Brian West for details). A number of sources starting with Shirley Wood's book Cinders & Saltwater have assumed that with the name "Acadia" it had to be a from the DAR's "Land of Evangeline Route" car but the ICR used a few Acadian names on its rolling stock as well."
