Summary
1975 DAR Traffic Readme Notes
This covers all traffic between Windsor and Yarmouth that was interchanged between CN and the DAR at Truro, NS during 1975.
The consists Andrew Blackburn sent me were complete but there were no consists for May and November, they were derived from the data collected from the month before and after and then averaged.
Rolling stock identification
"CP 50" is a Canadian Pacific 50,000 series car. "WAB 18X" is a Wabash car that has only three digits, like "WAB 183".
"B406" is a Boxcar, 40' 6' door. "B5016" is a Boxcar, 50', 16' doors.
The road number will determine if the car has a 10' interior height, 10' 6" interior height, or if the car has a nailable steel floor, or is compartmentized.
"LO48" are Covered Hopper with the interior length indicated by the two digits after the LO.
"LC40" are 40' Boxcar with roof hatches.
"RB40" are 40' Reefer with ice bunkers.
"RP40/50" and "RM40" are Mechanical Reefers.
"GBxx" are Gondolas with the interior length indicated after the "GB".
"FMxx" are Flat cars with the length indicated after the "FM".
"FBxx" are Bulkhead Flats with the length indicated after the "FB".
"TM" are Tankcars general service for the most part, an "I" would indicate insulated.
"TP" are pressurized Tankcars, an "I" would indicate insulated.
"XMIH40" are Insulated Heated Boxcars.
"XLI50" are Insulated Boxcars.
"SM40" are Stockcars, 40'.
"FA" are bi-level and tri-level Autoracks.
