Dominion Atlantic Railway Stock Cars
The DAR had it own small fleet of stock cars to transport livestock such as DAR Stock Car No. 1097. Many were inherited from its ancestor companies such as the Windsor and Annapolis, the Western Counties Railway and the Midland Railway. As DAR cars, they were lettered in the 1090 series. In the 1930s, they were gradually taken out of service and eliminated by the late 1930s, replaced by the CPR's huge fleet of 36 foot converted Fowler box cars.
Stock Car No. 1097 and reefer in train wreck, unknown date.
