Laura de Boer is Vice President and a senior archaeologist at Davis MacIntyre & Associates Limited, a leading cultural resource management company in Halifax. She has a Master’s degree in European Historical Archaeology from the University of Sheffield in the UK and a B.A. in Anthropology from Saint Mary’s University in Halifax. Laura has practiced archaeological field surveys since 2006. She specializes in the archaeology of industrialization and in standing building archaeology and is known for her expertise on the mystery tunnels of downtown Halifax. Lauara has worked on a number of important railway sites. This includes leading an investigation into the Albion Mines iron foundry in Stellarton which served the Albion railway, one of the rail lines in Canada. Laura also serves on the board of Industrial Heritage Nova Scotia.^[1]
