These photos are sequenced chronologically but there is a possible conflict with the dates. Many of the photos are labelled July 31, 1958 and many are labelled August 1, 1958. It's not clear at this point if these are all from the same day or if John took the Midland train on two successive days. If anyone can she some light on this it would help us to clear this up. July 31, 1958 was a Thursday and August 1, 1958 was a Friday so Train No. 21, Windsor to Truro and Train No. 22 Truro to Windsor would have ran on both days.
Interesting or confusingly, of 4 photos selling on eBay in January of 2014 that are attributed to John, one was of the interior of a steam engine cab with the note on the back indicating it was a 10 wheeler. The rest of the photos from the Midland in 1958 show clearly that the engine was Pacific No. 2627.
