In 1932 at the age of 22 when George got married he was a Relief Agent for the DAR (1).
George Bishop was a DAR employee at the company's headquarters in Kentville from the 1930s to the 1960s and wrote a "Railway Notes" column from 1936 to 1939 in the Kentville Advertiser weekly newspaper.
