Dominion Atlantic Railway Budd Rail Diesel Car RDC-1 No. 9058.
Built July 1956
Budd Serial no. 6317
One of only two RDCs factory lettered for a CPR subsidiary line, No. 9059 being the second unit.
On Saturday October 30, 1965 (2), No. 9058 was involved in a head on crash with a Burro crane at Coldbrook. The Chroncile-Herald reported the accident on the front page on November 1, 1965. The impact dislodged seats from the floor according to the conductor on that run, Albert "Shine" Manning. It was sent to Montreal for repairs and No. 9057 was sent in to replace it. Photographic evidence indicates (1) that this was before April 1966.
Currently in use by VIA Rail on E&N line on Vancouver Island as No. 6133.
