Original Agfachrome Slide August 5, 1973, DAR main line near Bear River NS. This is a beautiful shot clearly showing the Digby Gut connecting the Annapolis Basin to the Bay of Fundy with Bear Island showing in the left of the basin.

This scenic spot was used by Nova Scotia Information Service photographer to take this outstanding photo in the the Nova Scotia Archives and Records Management collection at the Bear River Curve.

The view is also featured in Canadian Pacific's Dominion Atlantic Railway (Volume 2) by Gary Ness on page 18.
