Summary

Photograph of the collision in Mount Denson July 23, 1894, between the eastbound Cherry Blossom Festival Special with six passenger coaches pulled by W&AR No. 10 "Kentville" on the right and an westbound ore train pulled by W&AR No. 4 "Blomidon" on the left. They collided at the Pentz bridge and embankment, 1/4 mile west of the Mount Denson Station. Five crew were injured in the collision. The tender of Engine No. 18 was driven inside the lead coach, but it was fortunately not occupied as all passengers were in the rear coaches.
