Built by GMD as SW1200RS, Serial No. A 1743, No. 8143 (1959). Rebuilt by CP as SW1200RSu and renumbered to No. 1273 in 1985. Traded in to Rail Trust Equipment (2/2004). This is the only SW1200RS unit that after being rebuilt was returned to the D.A.R.
The other SW1200RSu units to operate on the D.A.R. came from other locations in Canada.
