Built by Baldwin Locomotive Works in Philadelphia in 1891, according to [[Gary W. Ness]] in [[Canadian Pacific's Dominion Atlantic Railway]] (Volume Two) on page 4. He goes on to say that it was originally No. 10 on the W&AR and was the first "foreign" locomotive to run over the Annapolis Royal - Yarmouth section in October 1 1894 when it pulled a special dignitary train commemorating the occasion of the D.A.R. take-over.

Dominion Atlantic Railway Steam Locomotive No. 12, Kentville.

Built by Baldwin Locomotive Works in Philadelphia in 1891, it was originally No. 10 on the W&AR and was the first "foreign" locomotive to run over the Annapolis Royal - Yarmouth section in October 1 1894 when it pulled a special dignitary train commemorating the occasion of the D.A.R. take-over.
