Canadian Pacific Railway Steam Locomotive No. 312

Wheel Arrangement: 4-6-0

Built by Category:Canadian Locomotive Works at Kingston, Ontario in December 1891.

  • Builder No. 424
  • 18" x 24" cylinders
  • 58" drivers.
  • CPR Class: C1B

This locomotive was delivered to the Canadian Pacific Railway as CPR No. 479. It became CPR No. 312 on November 1908 and was renumbered again as CPR No. 212 in December 1913. The locomotive was scrapped in June 1917. It was not known to have been transferred to the DAR but appears to have been loaned soon after the CPR purchase of the DAR in 1912, based on two photos of the locomotive at the Plympton ballast pit.
