Canadian Railway and Marine World - 1914-04 - Windsor Branch Lease Expires - Renewal Negotiations In Progress
A news article was published in the April 1914 issue of the Canadian Railway and Marine World trade magazine saying the lease on the Windsor Branch of the Intercolonial Railway had expired in December, 1913 and negotiations between the DAR and the Intercolonial were in progress. The scan of the article appears below, while the article text is shown here for search purposes:
Dominion Atlantic Ry.—Intercolonial Ry.—The lease of the line from Windsor Jct. to Windsor, N.S., known as the Windsor branch of the Intercolonial Ry., to the Dominion Atlantic Ry.,. expired Dec. 31, 1913. The House of Commons was informed recently that the company had made application for a new lease, and that negotiations were in progress as to terms and conditions.
