CPR1806

Built by MLW as RS-18 #8748 (1957). Rebuilt by CP as RS18u, chop-nosed and renumbered to #1806 (1981). Retired (9/13/1997). Sold to Century Metals, Lachine QC. for scrap (9/1997).

Unit was assigned to the DAR for heavy ballast train work, allowing the availability of two SW1200RS units for other work. It arrived on the DAR April 14, 1985, and made its first revenue run the next day. It was sent back to the CP in August, 1985.[1]
