Subdivision Yarmouth, Mile 4.78

The station at Upper Clements was a shelter with a platform. While only a one-room shelter, it was finely decorated with architectural details and long overhanging eaves. The station was a scheduled stop from 1894 to 1951.

Description from John Ferguson:

The Upper Clements Railway station in front of Homer and Lulu Potter's property, Upper Clements Nova Scotia. The driveway to my grandparents house is to the left of the station. They purchased the property from James Williams in the early 1920's. The Williams family operated a post office in the back of their house. The post office closed sometime before my grandparents took over the property. After the Williams family left, Reg Thomas looked after the station from the early 1920's until his death in 1940. My grandparents continued to maintain the station until it closed. I am not sure if it was late 1940 or sometime in the 1950's when the station closed. My aunt can remember sweeping out the station along with my mother in the early 1940's as well as the hobo's that stopped there in the 1930's.[1]
