Dominion Atlantic Railway Steam Locomotive No. 2209.

No. 2209 was the last steam locomotive to run on the Dominion Atlantic. Built by the Canadian Pacific's Angus Shops in November of 1907, it was sold to the DAR in the last days of steam, arriving on the DAR in November 1957.[1] No. 2206 was the only G1a on the linen.[2] No. 2209 retained after full dielization as a spare, mainly to steam power the conventional coaches on extra passenger runs. In March 1960, it made one of the last recorded steam runs on the DAR when it double-headed a "hockey extra" from Kentville to Halifax with SW1200 diesel No. 8131.[3] It was scrapped in February 1961.[4]
