Kentville Boiler Plant

The boiler plant at Kentville was built in the 1930s and included a 80 foot brick tile smokestack lettered "D.A.R." as well as an elevated coaling siding attached to the north unload coal. Through overhead and underground steam lines, it provided steam to power and heat the Kentville Roundhouse, Kentville Car Shop, Kentville Repair Shop, Kentville Machine Shop and parked passenger cars.
