CPR1828

Built by MLW as an RS-18 serial number 82474 and numbered CPR No. 8793 in 1957. Rebuilt by CP as an RS18s, chop-nosed and renumbered to No. 1828 in 1985. Sold to Ottawa Central in 1998.

According to Gary Ness, No 1828 was assigned to the DAR in the summer of 1986 for ballast train work, (1) but photographic evidence indicates the unit was here in the early spring, late fall or winter.
