Kentville Scrap Line
Just to the north of the Kentville Repair Shop was a set of tracks used for many years as the Kentville Scrap Line, where retired rolling stock awaited scraping. Old locomotive would be parked here in the dead line, parked discretely out of public view, so parts could be cannibalized until they were eventually cut up for scrap. The scrapping itself was usually done in an open area beside the river near the Kentville Boiler Plant.
