White, Cyril (Sr.)

Cyril White Sr. was a 29 year employee of the DAR. He started work in 1944 and retired in 1973. As fireman then engineer he worked on all regions of the DAR. Highlights included running his favourite locomotive, No. 999 and operating the first trial run of the RDC in Kentville. White was also the first engineer to tale a locomotive over the newly completed Avon River Causeway in Windsor.[1]
