David Othen was a railfan, author, photographer, videographer & webmaster, amateur wine maker and retired business consultant from Dartmouht, Nova Scotia. Trains fascinated him since his childhood in the 1940s. He photographed trains and made videos across North America, Britain and Europe and worked as a volunteer on several tourism railways including the Salem & Hillsborough Railroad in New Brunswick.[1]
He published several books illustrated with his photographs including the 2010 book Dominion Atlantic Railway The Final 25 Years.
David was also the webmaster for the Nova Scotia Railway Heritage Society until 2007. See David's own railfan site in the "External Links" below. David sold photos from his own web site as 8-1/2 x 11 high quality photo prints. See David's own web site for details.
